You may not know it, but Hampton Hills has its very own preservationist: Phil Leven. As past president of the Old Oak Cliff Conservation League, Phil was instrumental in helping to mediate the settlement between the OOCCL and the Dallas Independent School District that forced the DISD to hold off on demolishing the historic Oak Cliff Christian Church. Phil works to preserve the aspects of our past because he recognizes the value in having them as part of our future. He is currently working on helping the HHNA achieve tax-exempt status — something for which we will all owe him a debt of gratitude.
