Beginning in March, trash and recyclables will be collected every Tuesday in Hampton Hills.
As part of its “Too Good to Throw Away” program, the City of Dallas will implement same-day, once-weekly pickup of trash and recyclables. Because more than 50 percent of trash is recyclable, the City hopes that increasing recyclable pickup from twice monthly to once weekly and decreasing trash pickup from twice weekly to once weekly will save valuable landfill space.
District 1 Councilwoman Delia Jasso will host community meetings to discuss the change on Jan 9 and 23 at 10 a.m. at the North Oak Cliff Branch Library, 302 W. 10th Street.
