Special Thanks To AllWe would like to thank all those who assisted in making for two very successful events in February. The Mardi Gras Potluck was a lot of fun. Over 50 neighbors showed up and the buffet table was literally overflowing with food. Special thanks to Daryl Zdansky, Matt Fairey, Sally Roberson , Jay Johnson and Karon Anderson for coming early to help set up.Robert Gutierrez and Tony Font were gracious hosts at the Soda Gallery Soda Tasting. We sampled six different sodas that evening – 2 Root Beers, 2 Colas (Moxie anyone) and 2 Grape Sodas. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and the Soda Gallery crew plan on rolling more tastings out in the future when the Bishop Arts District begins hosting their First Thursday program. |
March MeetingPlease note that the March Meeting date has changed to Wednesday, March 14th at 7:00p.m. This is due to a scheduling conflict. We will be discussing the HHNA Master Plan. We have completed our audit of sidewalk conditions throughout the neighborhood and have set priorities of what we would like to see repaired first. We have also contacted the city with regards to street light placement but are still waiting on the details from them (they said it could take up to 60 days to receive). Other Items to be discussed are listed below:Neighborhood DirectoryThe directory is slated to be published at the end of April. The April meeting will be the last opportunity to register to receive one. How can you get your hands on one you ask? First, be sure we have your contact information so your name appears in the directory. If you get this e-mail we already have your name and address. We may be lacking your phone number. If you don’t think you have ever provided it, please call 214-850-8792 or e-mail at rob@hamptonhills.org and give Rob your information (leave a message with your name, address and phone number if you get his voicemail). Then, to get your copy you just need to submit your $10 HHNA Membership fee. HHNA Membership will cover the costs of the directory and also earn you invitations to special events like the Soda Tasting that was held at the Soda Gallery in February.March Front Porch BreakfastsInterested in keeping up with what’s going on with the HHNA but work or other commitments are keeping you from the monthly meetings? We have a tasty solution. Beginning in March and throughout the summer we will be having periodic ‘Front Porch Breakfasts’ where you can meet the HHNA Officers, other neighbors and keep up with the goings-on in the neighborhood. The first one will be held on Saturday, March 24th beginning at 8:00a.m. (until about 9:30 or 10:00) at 1414 Hollywood Avenue. Stop by for a cup of coffee, bagel or donut and catch up on all the happenings. April Yard SaleAs Spring is in full swing by early April, we begin thinking about such fun tasks as cleaning out the clutter that has accumulated in the garage. What a perfect time for a Yard Sale.HHNA will be having a Neighborhood Yard Sale in the Rosemont Church parking lot as a fund raiser for the Association. Currently the date is slated for April 21st. Stay tuned for more details. You received this e-mail because you provided your email address at an HHNA event. If you would like to unsubscribe and no longer receive e-mails from HHNA please |
