the 1930 census
Because Hampton Hills was primarily developed in the 1920s, the national census of 1930 is the first official record of the neighborhood. This census information includes the names, ages, occupations, places of birth and ages at the time of marriage for each of Hampton Hills’ first residents, as well as whether the occupants were owners (O) or renters (R) and even how much they paid for the house or owed in rent.
