New Hampton Hills Master PlanFrom the January meeting we discussed the need for infrastructure improvements to our neighborhood. This includes street repair, sidewalk repair and the addition of new street lights (and possibly even the replacement to something more decorative). Did you know that sidewalks are actually the responsibility of the homeowner? The City of Dallas does have a cost share program, but right now they are servicing requests made in 2003. That’s too long to wait. For 2007, Hampton Hills would like to put together a Master Plan for the neighborhood that highlights and prioritizes all needed infrastructure repair. We will then raise funds (both through the association and by soliciting organizations such as the Old Oak Cliff Conservation League) to help defray costs. We would like to see some of the highest priority items addressed in 2007, but the full plan may not be completed for a few years – and as time goes on we may add new projects. If this is something you would like to become involved with directly, we will be having a kick-off meeting on January 30th at 7:30p.m. Please contact Rob Phillips at (214) 850-8792 or via email at rob@hamptonhills.org.
